Grad Photoshoot FAQ

Why invest in our graduation portraits?

What better way to capture a major life milestone than to have professional graduation photographs!

Our photo studio offers you what most studios do not.

While most studios offer you a print only package, our studio offers you a flexible and affordable alternative where you OWN your digital images.

Our packages give you the freedom to print as many different sized images as you want! Or, if you would like the convenience, we will do the printing at a high quality photo lab for you and if desired, you can still print more!

What about my yearbook image?

We take a traditional pose for the yearbook so you can provide your yearbook editor with your digital file.

What do your packages include?

With our GOLD package, three poses and 12 digital images are included. You OWN the digital images which means we will email you a download link once your images have been processed. You will then be able to download your images to view, print and share as many as you want!

With our PLATINUM package, four poses and 16 digital images are included. You also OWN your digital images and can print as many as you want! However, we also provide you with the convenience of printing the images for you at a high quality print lab. These will then be mailed to you at no extra cost!

How do I receive my digital images?

Once your poses are complete, you will work on site with your photographer to choose the best three or four images (depending on which package was chosen). We will then edit your photos to provide you with the best quality. Once the images have been processed, you will receive a link to download your digital images. This link will be sent to the email you provided when you booked your session.

What if I have difficulties with the link that was sent to my email or if I have questions about my session and/or photos?

Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email.

How do I book my grad photoshoot?

Please contact us to book your appointment

via email at gradsonthegostudio@gmail.com or

call us at 204 330 2984 or 204 295 6417

Why do I need to complete your Release Agreement?

Using our services requires you to accept the user agreement. This agreement refers to the person that is identified as the graduate. This does not include any extra individuals that you decide to include in your photoshoot. To allow enough time to get ready for your session, we recommend you review this agreement prior to your photoshoot. There is no need to fill this form out, as this can be done on site. However, if you would prefer, you can complete it and take it with you.

Is there a cost for booking my session?

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit required for booking your session.

When do I pay the remaining balance?

The remaining balance is due at the time of your session.

Are taxes included in the package price?

Yes.

What methods of payment do you accept?

At this time we can only accept e-transfer, cash or a certified cheque.

Do you have a refund policy?

Due to the fact our packages are digital and the photos are reviewed and chosen on site by you and the photographer, a refund cannot be provided.

What are your most common type of poses?

The most standard pose is one without a grad cap, with/without flowers and a diploma. The second most common standard pose is that as above, but with a cap. Depending on which package you choose, the third or fourth pose is your choice.

Do I need to bring anything to my photoshoot?

Unless you would like to pose with items that are memorable to you ie. musical instrument, sport memorabilia, favourite book, etc. and/or you would like to have other individuals pose with you, we supply the standard graduation cap, tassel, gown specific to your school. Flowers and prop diploma/degree are also provided.

For high shool and higher institution regalia, please contact us.

How many people can I include in my photo session?

If you are wanting to pose with others, we limit this to two extra people. Please do not bring more people than required for your photoshoot to allow for social distancing.

Can I pose with my pet?

We love pets, but for the consideration of others, we cannot allow them on site.

Is there a room where I can prep for my photo?

Yes. We have private areas with mirrors available so you can prepare for your photoshoot.

How do I prepare for my grad photoshoot?

Practice your smile.

Practice your hair and makeup before your session.

We do not recommend getting any sort of skin treatment too close to the day of  your session.

Get a good night's sleep.

What type of clothing should I wear?

A white collared shirt with or without a tie goes nicely with a grad gown.

Please note that the grad gown has a v-neck so what you wear under it will show.

If you are planning to take a picture without the grad attire for one of the poses, please dress smart casual or formal, according to your style.

Is your photo studio wheelchair accessible?

No. Please contact us for options.

Does your photo studio have a washroom?

Yes.

Do you have more questions?
